grandfather and father’s practice.
Whether you need a power of attorney, living will, or a will, Rob Sale can help create a plan that meets
your family’s needs.
Will:
Creating a will is one of the most important acts you can do for your family. In a time of mourning, having a clear will ensures your loved ones have one less thing to worry about. Having a professional will prepared by an experienced lawyer also helps avoid probate issues that you may not foresee.
Some common benefits to creating a will are:
- To appoint a guardian for your children
- To protect your business
- To make clear who receives your assets
- To provide financial security for your family for the future
- To avoid unforeseen probate issues
Power of Attorney
Delegating legal authority to another person to handle your financial affairs is called a Power of
Attorney. It’s also used to give another person the ability to make health care decisions, do financial
transactions, or sign legal documents on your behalf, especially those you can’t perform if incapacitated.
Allowing others the Power of Attorney often falls to a spouse, family member or close friend, but it can
be anyone you trust
Living Will
A Living Will allows a person to state their wishes for end-of-life medical care. If you aren’t able to
communicate your wishes because of terminal illness or permanent unconsciousness, a Living Will spells
out medical treatments you may or may not want to be used to keep you alive. It can also be used for
other medical decisions such as pain management or organ donation. A Living Will has no power after
death.
